It's official: I'm all better. I'm the picture of good health. In fact, this bunny is a fair representation of me, with bright eyes and rosy cheeks and a pillbox hat firmly in place. I'm (trying to say this cheerfully) going to work on Monday. I will not miss prescription drugs, doctor appointments and asking people to do stuff for me. I will miss hanging around the house all day, though, and calling to my husband when he's working at home to hurry and come see the world's tallest dog on Oprah.
My Etsy shop is open again with a few Easter treats, and more to come.
I'm sure I speak for everyone (except possibly those in the greater Philadelphia area) when I say that the highlight of my weekend was watching Syracuse beat Villanova. If anyone would have told me 10 years ago that I would be a college basketball fan, I'd have said they were crazy. Of course, I never expected to be really interested in the world's tallest dog on Oprah, either. I think this is a good time to mention that Syracuse is 7-0 against ranked opponents this season. And also that the world's tallest dog is a Great Dane.
Prior to the basketball game (Syracuse 95, Villanova 77), the highlight of my weekend was seeing the snowplow arrive. For possibly only the second or third time in 15 years, we were actually snowed in on Friday. Even when it snows a lot, we can usually manage to get out. Not this time.
You may recall that this is the view I was complaining about last week.
Well, here's how it looks now. I am not seeing a lot of progress.
