Going away over the 4th of July? Here is some helpful advice.
Make sure you stop the mail and the newspaper before you leave.
Take a map, and double-check directions.
Fill up your tank before you leave.
Safety first! Drive a reliable vehicle. No zeppelins, please!
If you must take a helicopter, please make sure it is a newer model. Not this one.

Good holiday advice and great illustrations. We will be staying put and watching our neighborhood parade and then perhaps sit on the banks of the Willamette River in the evening and watch the firework display...no planes, blimps or helicopters in my red, white and blue future.

Have a safe and sane 4th of July and for goodness sake, please wear your helmet. Judging by the number of exploding sounds I'm already hearing in my neighborhood (often followed by a police or fire siren), anything can happen. :-)

What a neat old book. The illustrations are wonderful -- I especially like the color palette and the fabulous Graf Zeppelin.

Very nice illustrations, but that zeppelin reminds me of the first time I ever saw a blimp. I was playing in my sandbox at the time, and it scared the bejesus out of me! I dove face first into that sand, and I believe I tried digging a hole to China, trying to get away from that thing. Thanks for the great memories, and Happy 4th!
