Pull up a chair (if you're six inches tall) and I'll tell you where I've been.
A week ago Wednesday, I went to Pennsylvania to see my family and go to my niece's graduation party.
While I was there, my dad got terribly sick.
He ended up in the hospital. Then he ended up having surgery. I extended my visit.
And by the time I left, he was much better. As if he were determined to set the old-guy record for recovering from major surgery. He's supposed to get out of the hospital today. Which is pretty amazing, considering he had surgery on Sunday. (That's how you know something is serious. When you end up in an operating room on a Sunday.)
So I'm trying to catch up on the week of work that I missed (getting there), catching up on work around the house and yard (not even close), and putting away my suitcases until my next trip to Pennsylvania (unpacking is one of my least favorite chores).
I apologize for missing all of your news these past 10 days.
In an effort to get back to normal, I made a concerted effort to catch up on junking. I was somewhat successful this morning.
I've missed you all. I'm glad to be home again.
