The weatherman says this is the last sunny day we can expect this week. That means today is my day to get the laundry out on the line, weed the gardens, clean out the maple trees growing in the front gutter, and otherwise make my house as charming as the little cottage in the sampler. I found it at a sale last week. It joins at least two other samplers that I swear I'm going to get framed. But not today.
On the subject of putting things in frames, I found a handful of these little aprons last week.
I think they'd look pretty cute all framed together. Here's another way to use a tiny apron from Lera's blog, The Sky is Pink.
Making tiny aprons would be a good way to showcase those little bits of vintage fabric that aren't quite big enough to do anything with, but are too nice to be stuffed in a drawer. The apron is just a single piece of fabric bound with bias tape. Except for the first apron, which has a patch pocket, the others have only the illusion of a pocket created with bias tape. Pretty easy. I wouldn't mind making a few. But not today.
Oh, I think they will look fab framed. What an adorable idea. And I love the faux pockets on the aprons.

Didn't they make itty bitty aprons like that to pretty up dish washing detergent bottles? They'd be super cute framed.

Those are adorable! If you try it out and find you like making tiny aprons, the ladies over at MaryJane's Farm have mini apron swaps all the time! I have some hanging in my craft studio.

When I was about 10 I made a bottle apron for my grandmother and my aunt still has it! So these are to last! I like them!
At that time I put a matchbox in the little pocket and glued matching fabric on its front! Have a nice day, here it is raining (too?!)!
