We're meeting some families at a restaurant for a holiday dinner tonight, and I need to take a little gift for each of the women who will be there.
I picked out some pretty Shiny Brite indents and wrote up a little history of Shiny Brites, since they have an upstate New York connection. I printed it on some Christmas-patterned cardstock, cut out a tag and tied it onto the ornament with string. The little paper snowflakes on the end of the string are the result of my love for my tiny snowflake paper punch and the fact that I am easily entertained.
You're free to use my thumbnail history of Shiny Brites (Corning is a city in upstate New York), or you could use a Christmas poem or song lyrics. For reasons I can't explain, making a little tag for the ornament makes it a lot more special.
Some gift bags, bows and bells, and we're ready to go. Well, the gifts are, at least.
what a wonderful gift idea!

If I were given something like this as a gift, I would be tickled pink. Fabulous idea!

I agree with everyone. I would have been delighted to receive one of these, and you're absolutely right - tags always make it more special. You're so creative!
