There's been some discussion lately of whether it's too early to put out Easter decorations. It kind of is for me, but it's prime season to get out the Easter craft supplies. These fluffy chicks came from an estate sale last year. Much as I love them just as they are, they could use a little dressing up.
This required some green Easter grass (the paper kind - love that stuff), a jewelry box lid and a scrap of vintage wrapping paper. I also ended up getting out every millinery flower I own.
We settled on lilies of the valley.
Super cute!

That is adorable! I can't wait to decorate for Easter this year. I never had many decorations, but in the last couple months I have been buying things here and there, and squirreling them away. I'm hoping to find some great vintage things in the thrift and antique stores now!

I love these fluffy guys especially in their new surroundings. Nowadays the little chickies are a little rounder up here.
Thanks for the tip of Tinsel Trading Company, but that was already on the non negiotiable list and has to be in a walk now! Do you know any flea markets in New York or a couple of streets filled with 2nd hand stores, filled up to the ceiling with vintage goodies and very cheap?
I haven't forgotten your heart request, I'm working on it. (In my mind to be honest....I still have to look for them). To be continued!

Oh, how I loved the little Easter chicks that I bought at the five and dime. They used to have hats, etc. I have been able to find a few here and there over the years. I still love them just as much.

These are adorable! You find the cutest stuff! On another note, I had planned on putting out my Easter decorations by now. Many times I am behind on these things! I thought I'd get ahead. The boxes have been sitting on the floor for almost a week!
