Multiple choice: This picture represents:
a) A lovely pile of feedsacks
b) An afternoon's worth of washing and ironing
c) A potential contribution to the tuition fund
d) All of the above
The answer is D - all of the above - and as pretty as these are, I feel kind of good about letting them go off to good homes. (In the dog rescue world, if you've ever gone through the process of being approved to adopt a puppy, these are known as "forever homes.")
My only hesitation in posting about them is that I increasingly feel weird about showing you things that I'm selling. Not that it stops me. Especially with fabric, because there seems to be a general swooning and fainting about lovely old fabric. And if I've spent all day taking pictures for eBay or etsy (notice deliberate lack of links) I don't have a lot of time left for blog pictures, which are really what I'd rather be doing. I love seeing other people's creations and finds, whether they're keeping them, putting them online or taking them to their booth or store.
But I also recognize that blogs can start to feel like advertisements instead of friendly communication. And I certainly would like to avoid that. So this post is just for window shopping and general feedsack adoration. I was happy to find them, and I'll be happy to let them go, and in the time in between, I'm just enjoying them.
WOW! I would love to be able to afford to buy them! I have a few and treasure them! I'll check and see when you list them! I love seeing what people make and the things they've found in their shopping. We can't keep everything! lol

I don't know how you could bear to part with them, but I DO understand the tuition fund. That's where most of my jadite Fire King went! I love seeing other people's treasures, no matter what they are going to do with them, and I think you're giving someone a great opportunity to start a collection. Keep showin' the goodies!

I think blogs need to be both. If I can't use my blog to sell from then, I have to spend my time making money elsewhere and don't have time to blog! So, I throw in some photos when I have something to sell.

Beautiful fabric. Don't feel bad about showing what you're selling. I know how you feel, I am hesitant about showing what we sell on our blog too, but I think it's a wonderful way to alert people to something that they would truely enjoy having. Twyla

Alot of the time I think of my blog as a show and tell...letting kindred spirts enjoy what I have found or collect. A blog is a great way to show what you make for sale, but it is also a personal story of what and who you are...that is what makes a blog special and not a advertisment for a shop. Thanks for sharing!

I posted a comment earlier this morning, but I guess I forgot the security word!!! Oh well I agree with the advertising blogs. I hate when I am following a sweet blog and all of a sudden it turns into an annoying infomercial. I don't mind a little self promotion, but not the whole entire blog. I had to go back in your posts to find your ebay link so I could place my bid. Luckily I remembered back in Nov. you linked to a sparkley wreath on ebay. I love your blog Barbara, and I am sure I will be in the same boat of selling my stash in about 13 years ;)
