It is kinda like Christmas! Love the buttons, love the buttons, even the big metal ones.

If that fish piece and embroidered table cloth piece don't make your cut, please let me have first dibs.

love all the buttons & the pink ribbon! great finds. thanks for visiting :)

Wow - you did well on the sewing front - just the kinda stuff I like to find! I spent a whole 25 cents last Friday on an old tin of buttons (which included some of those dang garters)- only a handful of buttons were interesting enough to keep and even the tin was pretty sad - but heh the price was right! Lucky you...Jewels

Nice buttons! How do find out about auctions? I've heard they are good to go to. Sounds like fun. Just recently found your blog and love it.

All I can say is: That must have been some auction!

I really wish that there were some auctions around here that I could go to! That first picture of buttons is soooo luscious, and I hope that you post a picture of that bedspread on a bed. I'd love to see the whole thing! And you're right about the garters. They're in every jar of buttons and every sewing basket!

great stuff. I don't know how you get so lucky!

if the effort required for repairs are too horrid, i just saw a wonderful way to reuse damaged vintage linens....at the Whimsical Whites Halloween post today (link can be found on my blogs of noteworthiness), they turned linens into adorable stuffed pumpkins.

lucky finds!
Happy Fall!

Oh my gosh, those green buttons are fantastic. Awesome finds all around!

Ooo, how I would love to have those linens you toss aside. I do so love vintage linens...The bedspread is just gorgeous..someone has taken so much patience and time working on it,I hope it comes out well for you. Love those buttons also. :)
