The new Hoosier is turning out to be quite a bit of work. Actually, it cleaned up beautifully, and the job was easier than I thought it would be.
But to make room for it, I had to move a pie safe. To move the pie safe, I had to move a cabinet that desperately needed to be organized. To organize that, I needed to clean out the sewing cabinet ... and on it went. Finally all of the areas were cleaned out, leaving a big pile of stuff to sort out. Today I'm finally seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel.
I got all of my papers and prints sorted out and separated into pretty folders. The folders are from Staples, and I thought they were kind of overpriced until I realized how heavy-duty they are. I like them. Locker baskets make such good file drawers. It's like they were made to hold files. Why I have any of this stuff is a bit of a mystery, since I don't scrapbook, and I make something out of paper about once every four months.
But in all of this moving, I finally found a permanent spot for two of the wooden bird shelves. Hmmm. By checking my blog, I see I've had these birds 13 months. Also, it appears they ended up in the same room where I hung them in the first place just to take their picture.
I'm really hoping it doesn't take that long to get the Hoosier situated.
Those shelves are so cute. I love the baskets. Maybe one day I'll get lucky!

I don't have any locker baskets but some old wire baskets & they really do make everything look much better & organized. Check out this new A & E show though & I am sure you will feel much better about any organizing you need to do!

Love your files in baskets. I've always wanted to try those cute file folders but couldn't justify the price. Thank you for letting us know that they are worth it !

First I saw the cotton birds and my heart skipped a beat, and then the blue bird shelves...
I have one thing to say, and that's "Tweet!"
