This year, I'm going to tackle some long-overdue home improvement projects. The bluebirds would appreciate a little foundation work, for example.
I'm going to take time to notice the little treasures that surround me daily ...
and count, for instance, how many snow-capped birds' nests I can see from the path around the meadow.
Fourteen. (But I didn't take pictures of all of them.)
I'm going to get out more with friends. Even the badly behaved one who lives next door.
I'm going to eat more vegetables and fruits. But not these.
I'm going to be constantly grateful for a family that knows, given the choice of buying me diamonds or furs or a vintage handmade string holder, what will make my heart sing on Christmas.
And ever thankful for the cozy home we share.
Wishing you every happiness in 2010!
Sounds like some good resolutions that will be easy to stick to. That string holder is SO CUTE! And I do believe that my family has reached that long-awaited place where they finally know what to give me! If it's got a past life, odds are I'll want it!
Barbara,I wish you and your family lots of happiness and prosperity and vintage stuff in 2010!

Happy and healthy New Year to you and your family too Barbara!
I haven't been here lately, as I caught a terrible cold, I was just one of those comic figures, you know those in cartoons, sneezing violently all day long. When I recovered I was so behind in blogland that I decided to take a break, to prevent sitting behind my computer for days. Now I am catching up.
Thanks for making 2009 a terrific year reading your blog. I am already looking forward to what you have in your sleeve in 2010!

Isn't it funny, 10 years ago I was excited by a tennis braclet, this year my bestest gift was a handpainted sign on vintage wood. Since it was painted by my 5 year old I might be biased...hehehe! Happy New Year Miss Barbara!!

I agree with what Jenny said.....ten years ago I might have been insulted by some of the things I wish for today!
My biggest resolution is to notice the little things in life too Barbara. Happy 2010 to you!
