I only have one question:
Please don't blog about Project Runway if you choose to watch that! I remember last season too well, when B.L. blogged about the winner when we were watching episode 5! Yes B.L. you know that I am talking about you!

(Sorry, I just let myself go, of course B.L. didn't know that I was watching too and that we were in the midddle of the season, she is too nice, but still....)

Lol, interesting to know about that embroidery, your designs look beautiful!

Lumber. I love that!

TV viewing gets tricky when the Olympics are on ... I am completely addicted to Tivo. No more difficult choices or commericals. I am also addicted to Project Runway. And American Pickers. Sort of. -amy

I will watch Project Runway and record the Olympics I think. Or vise versa, one way or the other I will see both!! Oh yes and I love your embroidery, great pieces!

I love the way you brightened your view!

I love redwork and embroidery. And I suppose I'll be reading tonight. I have some magazines backed up ready to be thumbed through and read.

I am taping Project Runway and watching the skating. My husband and I had that discussion before work today, since I am an Olympic junkie- watching curling while at work, anyone? Oh, and nice pictures, as always!

Oh, I forgot my question! Could we see a 4 season view from your window? Thanks!

Love those pillowcases! I learned to embroder at my local quilt shop and it was wonderful! They helped me finally master those pesky French knots!

I honestly couldn't think of a way to improve the view out your window as it looked so cozy. But, when I saw your improvement I was reminded of how I felt every year at this time when I lived in Michigan and your improvement made perfect sense.
Thanks for answering my question. I'll have to be on the lookout for some cute vintage decals now that I know how easy they are to make.

A friend recommended your blog to me...boy am I glad she did! Really enjoyed my visit :)

Oh my, I am not sure about the blue being gone. It makes me twitchy. I like things being the same. Ha. The button header is fantastic.

I ended up watching project runway since the good skaters weren't on until well after bedtime.

for me Project Runway will win every time! it's my favorite, the problem is i have a hard time not falling asleep! have a great weekend! susan

Love those decal jars--they look fabulous! Great idea!

The local quilt shoppes have great embroidery classes, usually. If not that, then i would suggest a few reminents of linen and the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Embroidery Stitches to start making one's own sampler. They have almost everything in there with beautiful illustrations and photos and basic instructions so that they could be figured out on one's own.

Hello Oodles:

It would appear I have a question as well. After looking through your beautiful blog I noticed the wall colour in your bedroom and was wondering what colour it is?

I gravitate towards the same colours as you and love your little decals on your jars, btw.

Thanks so much for your time,

Flowers are definitely my solution too. I keep meaning to put LED lights on our shed or back fence for our short winter days/long nights-my husband likes me to leave up lights on a timer in our three season sunroom/screen porch for the whole year. I learned to embroider on gingham and I remember a kit at some point after that with an aqua plastic hoop and suitable juvenile design printed on the fabric part-funny I remember the hoop more than the design.

I am LOVING what you did with those jars! I have a bunch of them, mostly unused right now, other than the one Bud uses for his pretzels (he loves his pretzels)...I am off to search for vintage decals:)

The slumber pillows are too amazing! And I have those same jars from Target. Of course, mine are without decals, but maybe I could fix that. :)

No questions here, only praise for your wonderful home decorating and vintage finding skills!
