The church ladies were fretting.
It was obvious I had barely looked at the tablecloth I took to the register.
Aren't you going to look it over? one of them asked as the other unfolded it.
There's a little spot right here, the one who did the unfolding said. I had to squint to see it.
The church ladies just wanted to be sure I'd be a satisfied customer.
I am.

Wow. It makes me happy this morning to know tablecloths in this pristine condition are still out there at sales.
I'm a 'barely-looked' vintage linen buyer as well which had led to some surprises along the way -- perhaps I should consider shopping with an eagle-eyed church lady.

It's gorgeous!! So sweet of the church ladies to make sure you knew the condition of the cloth before you took it home. I have a small collection of vintage tablecloths, and need to do a post on those one of these days. I do have one of my grandmother's checked cloths pictured in the post I did earlier this morning.

that's a beauty!! do you actually use your tablecloths? i love them and have a lot, but i hate to use them because i feel like they've made it this far without being ruined...i guess i should just use them...love this one!
