Wow..you need to have quite a few friends over to celebrate this good fortune. love the photo of them all lined up!

What a wonderful find -- they are absolutely beautiful. This is one of those amazing purchases that you must keep for yourself -- and save your children. Congratulations!

Be still my heart. I have never ever seen that much bakelite flatware all together. You lucky lucky lady!!

Gina @ VintageJunkinMyTrunk

I would have been thrilled with the red. But the butterscotch too? Wow.

You lucky chick you! That's an awesome find!

It was your lucky day for sure! I'm pretty sure you are set for flatware for life :-)

Linda @ A La Carte

Wow! I can see how this is your favorite find of the summer. Love it all.

Now THAT'S what I call a lucky day!! Love love all those colors!

Maria (Magia Mia)

As with Gina's recent motherload of Christmas ornaments, I cannot repeat the words that escaped my mouth upon seeing the red (!), and then butterscotch (!), and then the rest (!!!) of that glorious bakelite.

That would've almost been an unbelievable big fish story, had you not had photos to prove it! Nirvana!

So sweet and love the silverware box! I have one that is red and love it! xo Heather

The censors would have bleeped me when they heard what I said when I saw your bounty. Crikey!

I recently bought that same flatware box, mine was full of old rusty silverware though...not that gorgeous shiny Bakelite you found. I'm with that comment above-- swear words come to mind but in a very good way!

Melissa's Antiques

I've only found a few pieces of flatware here and there - so you are definitely lucky to find this much! Awesome!

jealous jealous jealous...I have never seen black bakelite in the wild! Great haul!!

You must have a really lucky star above you! What a truly awesome find - especially since it's so rare to find that many in such nice shape all at once!

By the way, I'm smitten with little old dolls, too, and still have some of mine from the 40's and 50's. What am I saying? I'm smitten with all the same things that you are!!!
